WHO denies the occurrence of new more contagious coronavirus in Vietnam
The outbreak of coronavirus which stated in Da Nang in late July, has no difference from the virus in other countries, says WHO.
Commenting on new reports from Da Nang, on the high contagiousness of new coronavirus, WHO assured that there’s no real reasons for concern.
“According to the recent data, the infectiousness and severity of the disease hasn’t changed. There’s no evidence that all mutations led to the increase or decrease of infectiousness or severity of the disease”, WHO noted.
On July 27, the head of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, Nguyen Thanh Long, reported that people in Da Nang are infected with the new coronavirus strain, which differs from previous infection in high level of infectiousness.
