Australian doctor told how to treat COVID-19

Honorary doctor Richard Head called for a new COVID-19 treatment.

He believes that there’s no real chance to find the cure or vaccine by the fall 2020. So, he says that scientists have to focus on already existed drugs in order to use them in effective COVID-19 treatment till the creation of the vaccine.

Temporary decision will allow to reduce the inflammatory reactions in severe patients. He believes that scientists have to combine the existed drugs to reduce dangerous symptoms.

It is well-known that the coronavirus destroys cells in a large scale. When it breaks the protection, it easily gets into the lungs.

As getting into the body, SARS-CoV-2 unbalances the immune system and causes huge inflammation. Today, scientists can’t restore the protection, so the only way is to weaken the inflammatory reaction and control the most dangerous symptoms, scientist believe.

Professor Head says that although the neutralization of the virus is the main goal, they have to find the decision in already existed drugs. The vaccine may never be found, and it’s development may last for years, he concluded.
