Every third recovered patient may suffer from permanent lung damages, fatigue and mental diseases. Such conclusion was made by the specialists of the National Health Service of Great Britain.
30% of COVID-19 recovered may face the development of pulmonary fibrosis in the future, according to the recent data. This disease leads to the development of scar tissue on lungs, which cause the alterations in respiratory function and impairs blood oxygen saturation.
Half of the recovered may experience physical, mental and psychological alterations. Near 70% may suffer from delusional disorder. Every tenth patient experienced acute heart damage.
Also, according to scientists, coronavirus may cause brain damages, which in the future may become the reason of Alzheimer’s disease.
