Coronavirus can be defeated in two days: scientists called the drug
Every day, scientists conduct research to identify at least some ways of containing coronavirus. It became known that there is a drug that can defeat the virus in two days.
Now there are about 1.3 million patients. Scientists note that there is a positive effect from the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin. It manages the strain in about two days, said Dr. Kylie Wagstaff, who works at Monash’s Institute of Biomedical Research.
The drug is so powerful that one dose can destroy the SARS-CoV-2 RNA chain. In the near future, experiments on volunteers should be completed (before this study, they were carried out only in test tubes). It is possible that under the conditions of the human body, the drug will be ineffective.
Scientists have not fully figured out how ivermectin infects coronavirus. Most likely, it destroys the host cells.
