Doctors called another complication after COVID

International team of scientists have published another study about another complication after COVID-19.

Statistics shoe that many COVID patients have neurological symptoms from loss of smell to stroke. But there exist another long-term consequences such as chronic fatigue syndrome, doctors say.

These complications may be caused by the infection getting into the brain tissue.

Many symptoms that were attributed to the infection, are actually caused by defensive reactions of the immune system. Some symptoms are nor connected with the virus directly, they are the response of the immune system to the viruses such as cold.

During the recent study, the scientists found out that neuroimmune cells, which are located in the connections between brain cells, are necessary for normal immune memory formation.

Unfortunately, many years should pass before scientists know if the COVID-19 infection causes an increased risk of brain disorders.  But there is a good news: all risks can be reduced or mitigated through the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, experts concluded.
