The WHO reported on the “protracted nature” of the pandemic

The meeting of special committee was on July 31. As the result, the committee announced the protracted nature of the pandemic and highlighted the importance of measures to combat the virus at the national, regional and global levels.

The committee also gave the recommendations to the WHO. One of them is giving support to the countries to stop the spread of the disease, accelerating researches and experiments and expanding access to drugs and vaccines as they become available.

The committee also called for the support of researches, including financially, monitor the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the world and provide the population with basic health services, providing the relevant services with “financial, material and human resources in the required volumes.”
