Analysts called the countries which will get the vaccine first
The USA, Great Britain, Japan and European countries agreed on the supply of 1,3 billion doses of potential COVID-19 vaccines.
The USA and Britain signed the agreement on the supply of vaccines developed by Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline Plc. Japan signed similar agreement with Pfizer. European countries behave aggressively during the supply discussion, although there’s no evidence on the vaccine effectiveness.
According to analysts, taking into account the ability of increase in supplies and open deals, the number of doses for these countries may increase by 1.5 billion. That’s why they fear that other countries won’t get the vaccines as soon as the other.
International organizations and some countries promise to make the vaccine available for everybody, but “there won’t be enough doses for a world of 7.8 billion people”. The less affluent states fear a repeat of the situation that occurred in 2009 during the swine flu pandemic, when affluent countries monopolized all vaccine supplies.
