Coronavirus mutations aren’t occasional, scientists say

In recent study, scientists concluded that coronavirus continues to mutate. Moreover, people help it.

It is normal that coronavirus continues to mutate, it is its nature. The other question is the speed of its mutations. Now we see, that all these mutations occur quickly, but it doesn’t mean that the virus becomes more severe and dangerous. Coronavirus is “interested” in staying among people, without killing them.

During the study scientists analyzed 15000 virus’ genomes in research projects around the world, detecting 6,000 mutations. Scientists noted that this happens due to human protein that detects virus DNA in body cells and randomly puts mutations that lead to deactivation of genes.
