WHO has changed rules for coronavirus testing
WHO experts said that in Italy, infected people may end the quarantine before they will get negative COVID-19 test result.
In mean that the patients, who have spend 10 days in isolation due to the infection, may stop observing this regime if they don’t have any symptoms for three days. Certificate with negative test result they can obtain after the quarantine.
Earlier WHO have recommended to stop isolation of infected people only after they will receive negative result twice. The United Nations Health Agency said they also have updated their recommendations as some of recovered people were COVID- positive even after several weeks since they have recovered.
Despite the results, this people are not carriers so they couldn’t transmit the virus. People receives positive results due to tests modernization. They’ve become more sensitive, so small virus particles which may remain in the body, are not dangerous, scientists explain.
