Bill Gates allowed the virus to spread after the vaccine emerge

COVID-19 vaccine doesn’t mean that the virus will stop to spread, said the founder and former head of Microsoft, Bill Gates.

He was asked about his attitude to the statement of epidemiologist Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Research and Policy on Infectious Diseases at the University of Minnesota. He believes that virus will continue to spread till 60-70% of country’s population will be infected or the vaccine will be created. And Bill Gates only confirmed its statement.

He also noted that the vaccine has two main functions. The first one is protection against infection, the second one helps the vaccinated not to transmit the infection.

At the same time, no one can guarantee that the vaccine will absolutely stop the infection spread, he said.
