The popular method of protection against COVID-19 is recognized as harmful and ineffective
Spraying disinfectant solutions in closed rooms not only does not give the desired effect in the fight against coronavirus, but it is simply hazardous to health. Where drops of substance do not directly fall, it is useless. In this case, the eyes, organs of the respiratory system and the skin of a person may suffer, experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) say.
Instead of spray guns, you should use a cloth moistened with a disinfectant solution. She should wipe the surface after removing organic dirt with a brush or scraper.
Spraying disinfectant solutions outdoors is practically useless, since the substances lose their properties after contact with street dirt. The processing of any spaces in the presence of people should not be done under any circumstances. Such actions are fraught not only with physical damage, but also moral. At the same time, they do not create any obstacle to the spread of coronavirus by airborne droplets or in direct contact with an infected person, the WHO noted.
Experts noted that a disinfectant solution that has got on the human body can cause irritation of the skin, mucous membranes, eyes, and also cause vomiting.
